This turkey bacon avocado club sandwich has thick cut bacon, turkey, avocado, cheese, tomatoes, & the best creamy Kneaders Sauce. (Have you been to Kneaders? It’s an amazing bakery and restaurant complete with delicious sandwiches, soups, salads, and baked goods.)

You know that we love sandwiches at our house! We love to make a meal out of a delicious, well balanced sandwich. This Turkey Bacon Avocado Club Sandwich with Kneaders Sauce does not disappoint, and the star of the show is definitely the delicious sandwich spread inspired by Kneaders.

To go with the amazing spread, I recommend getting some thick sliced turkey breast, thick sliced bacon, ripe avocados, and juicy tomatoes. And I love to get some bakery bread for this sandwich (I love the La Brea brand), toasted up before building the sandwich.

Traditional club sandwiches have that extra slice of bread in the middle which I honestly just think is too much bread (shocker, I know) and makes the sandwich harder to eat. Make your club sandwich without it and you’ll be able to better taste the bacon, avocado, turkey, and tomato together. Trust me on this.

How to Cook Bacon: The Easy Way!

Have you tried cooking bacon in the oven? It’s become my favorite go-to way to cook a large amount of bacon at once, while not having to keep a close eye on it like you do when it’s cooking on the stove. Additionally, it’s much easier to clean up when you don’t have bacon grease splattering all over your stovetop!

Here’s how to do it:

  • Preheat oven to 415°F.
  • Use a large rimmed baking sheet and line it with parchment paper (it helps reduce clean up if the parchment extends a little over the sides of the pan).
  • Use another large baking sheet and line it with paper towels (you’ll use this after baking for the bacon to cool). Set aside.
  • Line the uncooked bacon up neatly in strips on the parchment (the bacon should be right next to each other but not overlapping, or it won’t get crispy).
  • Cook the bacon for 15 minutes, then remove from oven and using tongs, flip each piece over.
  • Return to oven for 5-7 more minutes until bacon is crispy and sizzling. The longer you cook it the crispier it will be.
  • Once crispy to your liking, remove pan from oven and using tongs, place pieces of bacon one-by-one onto the paper towel lined baking sheet. This will help absorb some of the oil.
  • Once dried, bacon is ready to eat!

Ingredients

Kneaders Sandwich Sauce

  • 2/3 cup mayo
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Club Sandwich Ingredients

  • bakery style bread, sliced and toasted
  • turkey breast, thick sliced
  • cooked bacon, thick sliced
  • sliced cheese (I like Jack cheese or Cheddar)
  • avocado, sliced
  • tomato, sliced
  • salt & pepper

Instructions

Kneaders Sandwich Sauce

  • Whisk together ingredients in an airtight container. Store in fridge until ready to serve.
  • It will make enough for at least 8 sandwiches. I like to make it beforehand and keep it in the fridge.

Sandwich Assembly

  • If making these for a group, first slice all the toppings and get the bacon cooked. You can make an assembly line for serving.
  • Next, toast the bread. If using cheese, add slices of cheese to the bread while toasting so it gets melty.
Once toasted, generously spread slices of bread with the Kneaders Sauce.
  • Layer the turkey, bacon, avocado, and then tomato on the bottom slice of bread.
  • Add salt & pepper, if desired. Top with the remaining slice of bread and enjoy!
