At the start of summer it seems like so many days and weeks stretching forth in front of us… and now as we are here in August I can’t believe summer is almost over. Happens every year! We like to make the Back to School season special for the kids and their teachers with Back to School Lunch Box Notes & Teacher Gifts.

Teacher Gifts

Back to School means schedules, routines, and a lot more to do – for not just kids and families but for teachers as well. I’m excited to share with you some things we like to do to make Back to School season special for our kids, and for their teachers.

We love to give gifts to our teachers at the beginning of the school year. We try to think of a gift that the teachers really need – goodness, they work so hard all year for our kids. While we are busy getting our family ready for busier fall schedules, the teachers are getting ready for a year filled with lesson planning and grading. Enter the Pilot Pen. This is a great gift option for your teachers this year! Pilot has some amazing pens – the G2 Pilot Pen from Target, which I’m sure you’ve used before. The G2 comes in tons of colors, writes super well, and is the number #1 selling pen brand in America. (You can see all the Pilot Pen options here. )

I put together these little gifts for the teachers with some little handwritten notes – I’ve always loved writing with a G2 Pilot Pen. I’ve used these pens all through high school and college – they always write so smoothly.

These FriXion Fineliner pens from Pilot Pen are an amazing new kind of pen with a smooth-writing gel ink, that writes smoothly but also allows you to erase at any time; I love that I can write, erase, and rewrite until it’s just right.

Lunch Box Jokes

Next, I want to show you one of my favorite tricks for helping my kids enjoy school lunchtime. When my kids first started elementary school we had some sad days with one of my kids about not having a friend to sit by or a place to sit. We started an idea that turned into one of our favorite family traditions – JOKES in our kids’ lunches. We love including jokes in their lunch – it’s such a fun way for them to connect with other kids at the table and get to know others at the beginning of the year.

We try to look up jokes that are age appropriate for each different child – we even bought a couple joke books to have new ones each day. If you have a child who is more shy or unsure how to break the ice at the lunch table, give the jokes a try!

Simply grab some plain index cards, some G2® Pens by Pilot Pen, and look up some jokes for your kids in a joke book or online.

We like to decorate them with some different colors – you can even have some of your kids write notes to their siblings for special days like big tests or presentations.

To purchase the Pilot Pen FriXion Fineliner and G2 Pens, just head to your local Target, and visit the pen and stationery aisle. There are so many great Pilot Pen options. You can also head to Target’s website to buy them here.

You can get a discount on all these Pilot Pen products from August 26th – Sept 2nd, take 15% off all Pilot products using the Target Cartwheel app! August 26th – September 2nd, 15% off all Pilot (includes G2, FriXion, Precise & Acroball)

  1. My favorite kind of jokes. 🙂 I like the pens. We use a boring blue ink for our notes, but I’m going to switch it up this year for fun. Easy peasy and effective for fun.

  2. These are such great teacher gift ideas! I know tissues are definitely always needed in a classroom.
