Turkey Pomodoro Sandwich from Hagermann's Cafe

The Turkey Pomodoro Sandwich from Hagermann's Cafe in Utah is filled with turkey, Havarti, pepper jelly, marinara, cucumber, & greens. If you miss Hagermann's Bakehouse Cafe, you will love this sandwich! It's a unique combination of ingredients but trust me, they taste great together.

Ingredients

  • Hoagie rolls or French bread (toasted)
  • good quality deli turkey slices (I used peppered turkey breast)
  • sliced Harvarti cheese
  • marinara sauce
  • jalapeno pepper jelly
  • sliced cucumbers
  • greens (I used arugula but you could also use green leaf lettuce)

Instructions

  • Slice bread or rolls, and then toast them.
  • Once toasted, spread a generous layer of marinara sauce on one side of the bread.
Then spread a generous layer of the pepper jelly on the other side.
  • On top of the pepper jelly, stack the turkey, then greens, then cucumber, then Harvarti cheese.
  • Finish the sandwich by placing the piece of bread with the marinara on top.
  • Slice in half and enjoy!
  • Optional: if you'd like the whole sandwich warm, you can toast the bread with the cheese, marinara, and turkey on it, then add the cold ingredients after toasting.
